Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pick up and drop off the campervan in different cities?
Yes, depending on availability. For an extra fee, we can drop off your van ready to drive from Auckland Airport. You can select this option during the checkout on our Book Now Page.
can I pay via bank transfer?
Bank Transfer
Most rental companies only accept credit card payments, which typically include a surcharge from the payment provider. However, we are pleased to offer bank transfers as an additional payment option for our guests. Once you've completed the online checkout, we will confirm your reservation and send you an invoice. Please note: If you choose to pay via invoice, the full rental amount is due within 3 business days.
We recommend using Wise (formerly TransferWise) for international bank transfers, as they offer very low fees for transferring money across borders.
If you choose to pay via bank transfer, you can still enter your credit card details for the bond (security deposit) during the final step of checkout. The bond will be authorized on the day you pick up your campervan.
Credit Card
If you choose to pay via credit card, a 3% surcharge will apply. For credit card payments, a deposit of 25% will be charged when we confirm your booking. The remainder will be charged 45 days prior to the pick up date.
how does the bond authorisation work?
Your bond amount depends on which insurance option you choose.
Our standard comprehensive insurance option, included in every hire, has an excess of $2000.
The bond will be held by your bank and will show as a "pending" transaction of $2000 on your credit card during your hire. When you return the campervan, as per our Terms & Conditions (no damage, clean, full tank of fuel), we will release the bond within 24 hours and your bank will remove the pending transaction within 7 days.
We also have excess/bond reduction options available, which you can choose during the checkout process, please visit our Insurance Info Page to learn more.
When does the bond get authorised on my credit card?
We will authorise the bond, which is equivalent to your insurance excess, when you come to pick up the campervan.
When does the bond get released?
Your bank will remove the pending transaction within 7 days after your dropped of the campervan.

Can I leave my car at your depot?
Yes, you can! At an additional $7 per calendar day you can leave your car at our depot facility. Our yard is fully fenced, has security cameras and the gate will be locked overnight.
Can I bring my dog along?
Absolutely! We have a ‘bring your cat, dog or parrot’ add-on option at checkout, so you can bring your furry companion along for the adventure.
What size is the bed?
All of our Sleepervans come in a comfortable, almost queen size length of 195cm, the bed is 135cm wide. The Mojo Campervan is equipped with a queen size air mattress.
HOW long does the house battery last?
If you didn’t book one of our Vans with Solar Panel, the second battery in all our Sleepervans and Campervans charges only while you are driving. Generally, 1-2 days of usage without driving should be manageable, but it depends on various factors, such as the outside temperature (which affects how much power the fridge uses) and how you use the appliances (e.g., the pump).
All appliances will continue to work when the car’s engine is running, even if the second battery ran out of power.
The fairy lights on the ceiling are powered by AA batteries and operate independently of the second battery.
If you booked one of our vans with a solar panel, the battery will last much longer; however, it requires sunshine to recharge, and power usage is not unlimited even with a solar panel.
If you booked one of our campervans that can be plugged into a powered campsite, all appliances will work without limitation when you’re connected.
